We are currently seeking a software developer a 1-year position (initially) in the area of large-scale smartphone-based cognitive testing and Alzheimer’s Disease detection.
Applications are invited from iOS software developers with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in smartphone app development. Applicants with slightly fewer years industry experience may be considered, if they can demonstrate high caliber outputs (i.e. apps) during this period.
The goal of the project is to develop tools that can detect risk for Alzheimer’s Disease in healthy individuals, around the world and at scale. To achieve this, we aim to build a smartphone-based platform that can integrate cognitive test data with self-reported family history, clinical features, and passively collected patterns of smartphone use (from which we can estimate sleep, exercise and other lifestyle factors).
Working with a team of research scientists, the core responsibility of the software developer will be to build a smartphone app that delivers gamified versions of state-of-the-art cognitive tests. The developer will take full responsibility for app development, including the development of novel gamified cognitive tests. They will be an integral member of the research team, collaborating on project design, working directly with a graphic design team, contributing to analytics and data validation and be offered an opportunity to publish their work in collaboration with others on the team.
We will accept applications on a rolling basis until the position has been filled – get in touch today to avoid missing out.
