The successful candidate will support the day to day running of several major research projects in the area of cognitive neuroscience and mental health and also to manage more general operations of the lab. 3-Year PhD studentship on Smartphone-Based Cognitive Neuroscience Research in Ageing and Dementia

We are seeking a PhD student to start in March 2021, working with data acquired through the smartphone platform, neureka ( Topics of interest may include machine learning approaches to risk prediction, how cognitive profiles interact with modifiable risk factors for dementia, and how mental health and dementia risk intersect. 4-Year PhD studentship on the neuroscience of habit formation and associated mental health phenomena

We are also recruiting a PhD student to start in October 2021 to work on a new project focused on a recently funded ERC project entitled “Making and Breaking a Habit”. The PhD will involve several complementary and cutting edge methodologies, including repeated smartphone-based assessments (, electrophysiology (EEG) and causal manipulation in the service of uncovering how habits develop, how they interact with goal-directed control capacity, how they relate to variation in mental health and how we can boost habit formation by-design.
